Bruce Rogers

played his first paid gig on stage at the Evelyn Hotel, Melbourne, in 1989 and has since gone on to perform consistently throughout Australia and Europe, at venues ranging from the Sydney Opera House to the Spandau Citadel in Berlin. He is one of only a handful of didgeridoo players to have gained international recognition.

His solo performances are inspired by the traditional story-telling role of the didgeridoo which Bruce puts into a modern context, showcasing his highly refined skill with the instrument.

Bruce also performs with the band Tongue n Groove – a fusion of lounge, dub and electronic music featuring the driving organic elements of the didgeridoo, live percussion, trumpet, bass and guitar.

As a session musician, Bruce’s work has encompassed musical genres from classical and jazz, folk and pop through to techno and experimental music.
